Solution Architect ITIL Service Now ITSM - Dusseldorf - 2 months with 6 month extension

A design lead role or leading edge technology solution development. Manages end-to-end rapid solution designs to address business issues with the architecture lead and works directly with the system owner on an iterative process to develop and implement urgent solutions.

Responsible for the development and integration of new or existing technologies into business operations within short time scales, or in an iterative fashion. Serves as a first point of contact between Application Engineering and the Business, working with the business to prioritize technology needs.

Experience & Skills

College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience

Typically requires 3 to 7 years of solution design or programming/systems analysis work experience for BMC Product Suite

Requires strong knowledge of the relevant business area(s)

Requires experience or understanding of multiple programming languages, systems, as well as solutions design and project management methodologies


Complete Current State assessments of business service, application and technical services Create Service Oriented Reference Architectures

Rationalize current state to strategic architecture

High Level and Low Level designs to onboard services to the Service Catalog Management, Request Fulfillment, Change Management and Service Asset and Configuration Management ITIL processes and Service Now ITSM system.

Translation of business and technical requirements into application modules

Design specifications for developing and integrating programs

Cross functional systems testing and relevant documentation

Project deliverables that meet businesses requirements, audit/control requirements and are aligned with business and technology strategies

Implementation plans


Product Leadership

Provides technology and business expertise to ensure integration of appropriate technologies into business operations

Researches emerging IT products, services, processes and methodologies

Strong Business Partnership

Establishes and maintains working relationships across all businesses and between technology team members

Reviews technology drivers, needs and IT strategies with senior technology professionals and businesses

Strategic Management

Partners with the business and relevant areas for the customer to ensure that technology solutions are in line with the business and Technology strategy

Liaises with the architecture and development team and ensures that all solutions are aligned to architecture plans. designs and specifications

Role Specific Responsibilities

Acts as the main contact between the business and the Application Engineering team to support business needs

Participates in project planning sessions with businesses, business analysts, and team members to analyze Business IT requirements

Translates business and technical requirements into application modules

Develops software application modules using disciplined software development processes relevant for fast development timescales

Makes complex modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support, and industry standards

Works in conjunction with the Test Center to test and implement cross-functional systems they have developed or modified, ensuring the system meets business needs

Engages with third party software vendors on support issues

Provides ongoing development maintenance of applications or tools until accepted into Service Delivery

Diagnoses and resolves a wide range of user issues

Adheres to Application Engineering guidelines, processes and procedures

Reviews and signs off all systems analysis, development, modification, integration, maintenance, and support activities for projects under management

Continuous Improvement

Contributes to continuous improvement and promotes leverage of successful products and processes from across IB Technology

Proactively supports knowledge sharing within the Application Engineering team and across IB Technology

Regularly holds information sharing sessions

People Management

Identify potential jeopardy of project schedule and identify/mitigate risk

Provides input into project management team on individuals performance

Promotes teamwork in problem resolution
