Network Security Ops Engineer
The Network Security Ops Engineer will have responsibilities across the development spectrum focused on creating and delivering a global network automation strategy and leading the development and delivery of these solutions into the core, campus, data center, backbone, wireless and edge connect technology disciplines.
Our client's expectations for a candidate
Data networking technologies including switching, routing protocols, WAN, wireless and data center architecture.
C/C++ or other high level programming language.
Check Point, Palo Alto, Bluecoat Proxy/Symantec WSS Cloud Proxy, Citirix Netscaler, F5 LTM/GTM/APM.
Windows and Linux.
Act as technical advisor and level 3 support to infrastructure support team.
Write and implement scripts and programs to configure multiple network devices and platforms.
Assist in automating internal processes/tools for departmental engineering tasks.
Develop and execute RFPs from multiple vendors to include detailed solution analysis and lab testing.
5+ years working with FW/Proxy/End User/Automation Solutions.
Functional knowledge of OpenStack, advanced knowledge of Python.
Experience with infrastructure and server operations, application infrastructure and standards, networking fundamentals, virtualization technologies (KVM, HyperV, VMware) and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN/Proxy network technologies.
Windows and Linux knowledge.
Active Directory, PCI-DSS.
Able to troubleshoot complex L4-7 issues using network protocol and log analysis, raw data captures, and the correlations of disparate events spanning multiple devices and platforms.
